Ruskin has developed a Community Plan (23 page PDF) which includes goals for downtown Ruskin; economic development; environment; culture & history; education; College Avenue; transportation; parks,  open space and public facilities & services.

One of the most important of the redevelopment goals is to revitalize Ruskin's business center (PDF map) along US Hwy. 41, enhance the appearance of the district, and promote business growth that is compatible with our small town community.
